Talk: Modern Retro Computing
Retrocomputing has experienced enormous interest in recent years. Unfortunately, however, the hardware is increasingly limited by signs of deterioration (e.g. decay of capacitors or analog components). Some suppliers have therefore set themselves the goal of serving the market with replicas or completely new developments. These include software emulators in retro housings such as The C64 Mini/Maxi, replicas such as Ultimate 64 or completely new developments such as the Mega65 or Commander X16.
The talk will show the differences and philosophy of the various platforms. In addition, some exhibits will also be set up as a stand for you to try out yourself.
