The best way to learn is by doing, and the best thing to do is something you love. For me, this was about playing one game for the Apple II again, which served as a flimsy excuse to implement an Apple II on an FPGA. From scratch. On an obviously under-powered (but cheap) FPGA.
This talk is about a software engineer creating hardware. But mostly, this talk is about the joys of doing stuff just to see if you can, especially when the answer is “yes”.
