No keyboard needed – input and phone calls with Silly Wolf

Misaki

Not every input requires a keyboard. At the stand, there are hand-held scanners, laser pointers and modern devices with built-in scanners for you to try out – along with various barcodes, ranging from simple item numbers to boarding passes, which contain a surprising amount of information. If you bring your own labels or tickets, you can see for yourself what’s actually on them. And the whole thing is older than you might think: the principle was patented as far back as 1952.

The second half focuses on telephony: a hand-cranked field telephone, the Clubtelefon 5 with a keypad and a modern Yealink SIP telephone – three generations side by side, all available for visitors to try out for themselves.
