Apple 1, Indata DAI and early Swiss mice

The Old Computers and Consoles Club (OCCC) presents a selection of ‘Made in Switzerland’ mice: Depraz mice for the Smaky and variants thereof. There will also be a replica of the Apple 1, as well as an Indata DAI.
With the Apple I (also known as the Apple-1), Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs developed the first Apple-branded personal computer in 1976. Around 200 units of the device, equipped with a MOS 6502 processor, were hand-built in Steve Jobs’ mother’s garage and brought to market. We are exhibiting a replica in a wooden casing.
The DAI (also known as the DAI Personal Computer or DAI Imagination Machine) is an early Belgian home computer that was developed and launched in 1980 by the Brussels-based company Data Applications International (DAI). It was powered by an Intel 8080A CPU and had 48 k of RAM.
After the original company went bankrupt in May 1982, Indata took over production and continued to market the device until 1984.
