Programming the Apollo Guidance Computer with Blockly
Neil Fraser
The Apollo Guidance Computer was the on-board computer of the Apollo spacecraft. It was developed in the 1960s and programmed using a low-level assembly language. In this exhibition, you can easily create new AGC programmes – using a visual Blockly programming editor with a drag-and-drop function.
Discover how you can put together your own programmes using just a few blocks and how these control the Apollo Guidance Computer. This will give you a practical insight into how a computer that played a crucial role in the Apollo lunar missions works.
