After Bobst Graphics was stopped, Ricoh became a first customer. Graphical interface was burgeoning hence the need for a mouse. Noticing a strong demand for mice on the Arpanet, Logitech contacted the LAMI at EPFL. After some issues with suppliers, Logitech started to build computer mice first in Apple, VD, then in Taiwan.
