Storage tube technology was the only affordable way to display high-resolution graphics around 1974.

The success was so great that Unix terminals still understand the Tektronix language today.

Displayed are a Tektronix 4014 terminal (1974) and a Tektronix 4052 workstation (1978), both operational.
