Before Chromebooks, iPads, or Windows Surface devices, when laptops were still large, bulky, and expensive, there was a demand for small, lightweight, and affordable devices for basic computing tasks and internet access, and the market provided them.
Unfortunately, it was these devices.

Explore these bizarre and now largely forgotten devices and their desperate attempt to offer cheap portable computers for the masses through custom user interfaces and tailored yet inadequate operating systems.
